IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS

The basis for the sustainable development of the city is a pedestrian, human-scale environment. Improvement of urban spaces is a key task on the way to improving the quality of life of citizens, allowing the formation of centers of attraction, increasing the economic return and safety of the territory.

The improvement is based on the principles of the development of pedestrian infrastructure, functional content and zoning, stylistic uniformity, and the formation of a landscape with natural components.

Performing analytical and research work at the initial stage allows you to determine the key groups of users and the functional content of the territory demanded by them.

TYPES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • analysis and study of the territory

  • functional programming

  • improvement concepts

  • street improvement projects

  • public spaces

  • adjoining and courtyard territories

  • territory branding

"CONSTRUCTOR OF IMPROVEMENT"

Developing competencies in the area of comfort of the urban environment, in 2015 MIG specialists developed the “improvement designer” methodology intended for the design of urban spaces and executed in accordance with modern world urban requirements.

The methodology includes a set of unified tools for complex improvement and provides for three stages. At the first stage of research and analysis, the identity of the territory and the typology of the designed spaces are revealed, at the second stage, the design code of the territory is formed. At the third stage, “modules” are applied to the projected area, corresponding to one type or another and formed using the design code.

The use of this technique allows you to reduce costs and design time, as well as optimize the selection of objects and improvement elements.

Revealing typology

Determination of the typology of improvement objects allows to streamline approaches to future design and to form a classification of requirements for the quality of the environment depending on the type. For objects not included in the typology, individual projects are developed

Modules

Depending on the type of streets, courtyard or other improvement object, modules are offered that differ in the options for filling objects and infrastructure, size and planning solutions

Design code

The design code of the project is formed on the basis of the unique characteristics and brand of the territory and consists of visual solutions – patterns and a coloristic passport of the project. Solutions that emphasize the identity of the territory are used in the design of the earth’s surface, facades, navigation elements and environmental objects.
